Why Risk Consulting London

Senior expertise without the machinery of a large consultancy.

We combine deep risk expertise, regulatory perspective, technology-enabled delivery and flexible resourcing. Clients work directly with experienced practitioners rather than paying for layers that do not improve the answer.

01 Senior expertise

10+ years across financial-services risk, prudential frameworks and regulatory environments.

02 Regulatory perspective

Practical understanding of how frameworks, evidence and governance stand up to scrutiny.

03 Boutique delivery

Direct access, faster decisions and no unnecessary junior hand-offs.

04 Technology enabled

05 Flexible resourcing

Projects, individual days, interim cover and on-site, hybrid or remote delivery.

Three ways to engage

Advice, ongoing delivery or independent assurance.

Choose a defined project, extend your team with managed risk capacity, or commission independent review. The scope can move between these models as your needs change—subject to clear governance and independence boundaries.

Core expertise

Complex risk problems, solved practically.

We work where prudential regulation, data, governance and implementation meet. The goal is not another document. It is a framework your teams understand, your Board can challenge and your regulator can scrutinise.

Managed risk services

Outsource capability. Keep accountability.

Not every firm needs a large permanent risk team. We can operate agreed parts of the risk cycle—monitoring, reporting, incident oversight, committee preparation and follow-through—on a recurring basis, with clear service scope, escalation and evidence.

Outsourcing support does not transfer the firm’s regulatory accountability. Governance, decision rights, data access, conflicts and any retained responsibilities are defined expressly in the engagement.
01 Risk & KRI monitoring

Thresholds, trends, limit breaches, actions and escalation across enterprise, credit, liquidity and operational risk.

02 Incident & action oversight

Structured intake, severity, root cause, regulatory assessment, remediation and closure evidence.

03 Committee & Board MI

Decision-focused packs, exception commentary, actions, minutes support and accountable follow-through.

04 Fractional risk leadership

Flexible senior capacity for firms building, scaling or temporarily covering their risk function.

05 Regulatory change delivery

Impact assessment, workplans, policy and control updates, testing and implementation evidence.

06 Third-party risk oversight

Service monitoring, concentration, resilience, due diligence, issues and exit-readiness support.

End-to-end risk management One connected cycle, not a collection of disconnected documents.

From risk appetite to evidence. One connected framework.

A mature ERM framework connects strategy, risk appetite, the risk register, KRIs, controls, RCSA, stress testing and assurance. We design the links, challenge the gaps and make the framework usable by the business rather than owned only by Risk.

Use AI where it adds speed. Keep judgement where it matters.

AI can accelerate repetitive analysis, evidence mapping, document review and structured drafting. It cannot replace regulatory judgement, accountability or understanding of your business model. Our approach combines both.

✓ Senior review: outputs are challenged and validated by experienced risk professionals.
✓ Purpose-led: AI is used only where it materially improves quality, speed or consistency.
✓ Client-controlled: data-handling and confidentiality requirements remain central to the engagement design.

Small firm. Senior attention. No unnecessary layers.

Independent assurance · third line

Audit the risk function, not just the paperwork.

We independently stress-test whether your risk function is compliant, effective and genuinely embedded in business decisions. We can act as an independent third-line assurance provider where governance and independence requirements permit, or support Internal Audit with specialist risk expertise. Where we have previously designed or operated a framework, potential independence conflicts are identified and managed transparently.
